The Energy and Environment Task Force Thursday recommended rejection of 10 pieces of legislation under consideration and acceptance of three resolutions during the CSG Annual State Trends and Leadership Forum.
Members of the task force were asked to discuss problems and innovations in their states and industries. Transportation, particularly rail transport, emerged as a critical need for the nation. Water supply, drought and water quality were also discussed as key issues for states. Not surprisingly, energy cost and energy efficiency issues remain important to both state government and industry.
The meeting discussion also focused on state innovation.
