Have you made plans to attend CSG's Annual State Trends and Leadership Forum in Phoenix Nov. 30-Dec. 3? You've still got some time to get in on the information-packed sessions such as:
- The Financial Services Working Group will discuss a study about the current and potential cost savings and financial implications of the use of credit cards and e-payment options as an alternative to traditional cash and/or check payment options for the payment of state taxes and fees. The group will also hear an update on the Streamlined Sales Tax Agreement, which is aimed at assisting states move toward a simpler and more uniform sales and use tax system.
- The CSG Technology Working Group will hear an overview of the major technology issues facing state governments in the coming year.
- And the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee will discuss how states and the federal government wcan work together to find real solutions to state problems. Members will also discuss the challenges states face with implementation of the Real ID Act.
